ARTG offers art enthusiasts the opportunity to discover and acquire tickets for art exhibitions in cities across the globe.
Art exhibitions are difficult to keep track of in your city or the city you are visiting, and it is not uncommon to find advertisements for exhibitions that have already ended. As an art enthusiast, it can be very disappointing to realize you missed them.
Develop an application that allows users to buy tickets to art galleries, as well as keep track of exhibitions in different cities around the world, aimed at travellers who are passionate about art.
I conducted interviews and created empathy maps to understand the users I’m designing for and their needs.
Through research, one of the primary user groups identified was adults who are interested in art but do not have the tools or time to search constantly on the internet; such as social networking profiles, or special websites for local exhibitions.
Another primary group will be art enthusiasts, travelers around the world. Tourists with a strong interest in culture, especially in the artistic background of each city.
I conducted two rounds of usability studies. Findings from the first study helped guide the designs from wireframes to mockups. The second study used a high-fidelity prototype and revealed what aspects of the mockups needed refining.
The final high-fidelity prototype presented a cleaner flow for purchasing tickets at art galleries.
Furthermore, it met the needs of users for customized choices of cities, languages, and dates. In addition, personal information of the user is saved under a password account.
With the app, users can easily find art galleries and purchase tickets, whether in their hometown or around the world. Users appreciate how easy and clear the step-by-step process of buying tickets is.
