Soundvest employs a rent-to-own model, providing musicians access to premium instruments. Monthly fixed rents contribute to eventual ownership, offering a flexible and financially  approach.
Private investors play a crucial role, supporting instrument acquisition and ensuring a favorable return on their investment.

‍My Brief

I was tasked with creating an educational feature for the Soundvest website, aiming to guide buyers of classical music instruments. Consideration of a website redesign was on the table if time allowed.

The Problem

Musicians, encounter challenges in making informed decisions when purchasing instruments.

How to provide musicians, with the necessary information and guidance to make informed decisions when purchasing instruments?

User Interviews

Over 30 interviews revealed insights, emphasizing parental involvement in a musician's career and concerns about financial support without assurance of dedication.
The majority of users began their musical journeys in childhood, with approximately 70% receiving initial instrument support from parents. This support often endured into adulthood, underscoring the significance of parental involvement.

Research Key Findings

‍My research unveiled a previously unexplored customer base for the startup, indicating potential appeal to beginners, students, and parents. This represented a substantial and untapped audience that could benefit from Soundvest's services.

From my research two consumer groups identified:

• Beginners and Passive Users
• Professional and Advanced Users

By designing the educational feature with this dual-purpose approach, I aimed to cater to the distinct needs of both user groups, ensuring a comprehensive and valuable experience for all platform users.
